Design and Development
Vision Ventilation are specialist designers and manufacturers of unique natural ventilation products for commercial and industrial applications.
As Consultants we have the ‘in house’ resources a to take an idea, a sketch or a ridiculous concept and develop the simple idea through a series of stages from inception to finished tested and certified products.
From the first discussions with the client and architect we produce a series of blueprint ideas that are then developed through set stages to achieve the required aesthetics for the architect and ventilation performance for the M&E building requirements.

Stage 1 | Ideas
A blend of ideas for the client to consider.
Stage 2 | Designs & Calculations
Detailed design drawings and calculations.
Stage 3 | CFD Analysis
Full CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analysis of the design and its relationship with the building surroundings.
Stage 4 | Testing
Scale or full-size prototypes that are then aerodynamically tested to ensure structural integrity and air flow performance.
Stage 5 | Construction Package
O&M Manuals, structural calculations, aerodynamic reports and construction drawings.
Stage 6 | Service & Maintenance
Although not technically a stage in the design and development process, ongoing service and maintenance is important to ensure your ventilation solution delivers optimal performance for many years to come.

Wind Tunnel Testing
When designing a new variation of a ventilation structure Vision Ventilation guarantees that several key factors are achieved; aesthetics as it’s an iconic symbol of the building design, natural ventilation performances this is normally the only way to ventilate the building and that the finished wind cowl weighing in excess of 2000kg are able to track the wind at speeds as low as 2m/s but also has the structural integrity to withstand over 50m/s of destructive wind force.
We have a multi layered approach to our designs, for Bluewater Shopping Centre, the National Assembly for Wales and the World Wildlife Foundation we produced extensive structural calculations, then a computer fluid dynamic analysis of the wind cowls and finally full-size prototype testing of the structure at the best testing facilities in the UK to demonstrate the overall design met the clients stringent requirements.
